If you are a woman in America, count your blessings for the pants in your closet and the ability to wear them, as silly as that may seem. Other women in other countries are not as fortunate. Take

Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein, a journalist who works for the media department of the United Nations Mission in Sudan. She was arrested this month after being because she was wearing “indecent” clothes; that would be pants.

If convicted of her “crime” she will be flogged 40 times. It is hard to believe in our day and age that these types of things still happen, but really, America and Europe are more like the exception than the rule.

As believers, you feel so helpless in situations like this. You see injustice, hurt, pain around the world.

It seems overwhelming sometimes and I just want to ask God, What would you have me do? Help me to make a difference.

For me, for right now, I am going to write about issues and situations  I hear about and try to get the word out. . .maybe others have ideas as ways to help – I do not have all the answers, but

I want to know how can this be happening in the 21st century? It truly is a different culture

and it is wrong.
