Hometown: Lake Oswego
Recent accomplishments: “I got first place in the 800 meters against Oregon City with a personal record of 2:28 and first in the 1,500 meters. I won the 3,000 meters against Canby and I got first in the 800 in our first meet against Tigard and David Douglas in the Jason Addy Classic.”
How she got started: “I started track in junior high because my older sister did track in high school, and I thought it sounded like something that would be fun.”
Favorite part of sport: “I love the feeling of finishing a race. The last 100 meters is a killer, but crossing the finish line and knowing I’m done is such a good feeling. And the next 30 minutes is pretty fun too, as you’re recovering, and reviewing your race, and talking to everyone.”
Favorite meal the night before the big event: “We usually have pasta feeds the night before meets, so spaghetti or penne, bread and grapes.”
Offseason? “I run cross country in the fall, and play coed recreational soccer, do Alpine ski racing in the winter.”

Hobbies, interests: “I have worked for the past two summers at PR Track Camp, put on by Eric Lider, Lake Oswego’s head coach. It’s for elementary school kids to experiment with track and field events. I’m part of the Portland chapter of National Charity League
