Age: 17
 
Team/position: Varsity lacrosse, defense
 
Recent accomplishments: I have 35 ground balls and nine draw controls this season in eight games. I’ve scored three goals and have two assists.”
 
How she got started: “My older sister got me started the summer of my freshman year.” Stone told the coach, B.R. Ralson, that she was there only because soccer practice was canceled. “She’s never let me forget that. I fell in love with it that summer and I really regret not starting sooner.” 
  
Favorite part of sport: “The people. Lacrosse girls are so different from girls from the other sports I play. No one is afraid to be themselves, it’s amazing. And our coaches are just crazy, I love it.”Favorite meal the night before the big event: “Lots of salad and some lasagna.”

Off season? “Varsity soccer.”

Rules to live by: “Be yourself, that’s all anyone can ask of you.”

Memorable advice: “If it’s important to you, try your hardest at it so you know you gave it your all. You have to enjoy what you do or you won’t give your best effort.”

Hobbies: “Oregon Zoo’s ZooTeen Program, reading, orchestra.”

On her iPod: “Country and oldies, some alternative.”

The one thing someone may not know about her: “I love watching hockey.”

What’s next? “I’m really hoping to go to a four-year university and maybe play lacrosse there.”
