Highlights: Winning fourth consecutive Wilsonville Invitational Tournament: “I finished with 24 points and six assists with 18 of the points coming in the second half in the come-from-behind victory.” Playing national powerhouse Yates High School (Houston, Texas) in the first round of the Les Schwab Invitational: “I had 23 points and six assists.” Winning third consecutive game against West Linn: “I had a career-high 29 points and five assists.”
How he got started: “I just started in my front driveway when I was 4 years old. I would go out there and shoot on our little hoop for hours almost every day. I started organized basketball in the third grade.”
Coach’s advice: “To always stay positive, and pay attention to the little things in life.”
Favorite part of sport: “The fact you can play it year-round, indoors and outdoors, by yourself or with a group.”
Favorite meal the night before the big game: Chicken with mashed potatoes.
Rules to live by: “Good, better, best, never let it rest, until your good is better and your better is best.”
Hobbies: “I have coached a fifth-grade boys basketball team in the fall and spring.”
