On an amazing fall day in between prepping for family gatherings, I got outside for a Bike ride. I rode near the river and through the woods and inside of parks and a stone’s throw from the lake, and I stop by to see my friends Doug and Diane who were just finishing their house painting project and on the way home riding along the lake I just had to stop to snap a photo of the amazing fall day in Oregon, represented by a beautiful tree that had turned colors.
I love being part of a neighborhood, part of a community, right where we plant our feet and make our home. We have been in our neighborhood for 29 years and we love to walk and bike and stroll near around, to be connected here. It gives you a feeling of roots.
There are so many ways to be part of a community. Walk to the neighborhood bakery or bike to the local eateries for Happy Hour. There are the festivals and outdoor concerts and Christmas Tree Lightings.
Being part of right where you are in your community- it’s one of the things I like to emphasize in my parenting and in our family life.
