I will be screening the documentary, Sex+Money: A National Search for Human Worth, for Christianity Today’s women’s blog.  scheduled for  6 p.m. Friday Oct. 7 at Portland State University at Hoffman Hall.

The film shares highlights of interviews that five young photojournalists conducted with sex trafficking victims, activists, federal agents, politicians, and psychologists. The photojournalists were shocked that the issue of human sex trafficking, including the sex trafficking of children, was not just an international issue but one on their own land.

Besides exposure, they hope to help raise money for Streetlight, a group that is working to eradicate human trafficking. The young photojournalists’ passion for justice drives their vision to expose sex trafficking. They are trying to reach both the faith community as well as the general public in order to make a difference.

The Oct. 7 screening is free. Portland State University is located at 825 Southwest Broadway in Portland. The link to the website for more information can be found at  http://sexandmoneyfilm.com/film/#more-21
