Highlight of Season: “I am excited to be a part of such a fun team this year following a successful season last year in which we were in the semi-finals. We beat Oregon City 2-0 as our first win of the season this year in which I scored the first goal on a penalty kick.

How she got started: “I started with ballet but my parents and I both knew I wasn’t cut out for that. Soccer was a better match for me!”

Coach’s advice: “To always work your hardest and the result will take care of itself” and “never be afraid to fail.”

Favorite part of the sport: “The competition it creates, the friendships that I’ve made and the thrill of winning.”

Favorite meal the night before: “Spaghetti!”

Off-season? “There is no off season for me! I go straight into club soccer after the high school season is over and I wouldn’t rather do anything else.”

Rules to live by: “Make your own inspiration.”

Other hobbies: “I enjoy running, baking and spending time with family and friends.”

On her iPod: “Lots of country music, some Lana Del Ray and of course Beyoncé”

Favorite book: “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”

One thing someone may not know about her: “I have a huge fear of heights.”

What’s Next? “I have verbally committed to Azusa Pacific University where I will be a part of the women’s soccer team in the fall of 2014. I am truly blessed to be able to have this opportunity to continue doing what I love.”
