Don Jacobson is this month’s Writers Connection guest speaker on Thursday May 16 at 7 p.m. The former president and owner of Multnomah Publishers has been involved in the ministry of Christian publishing for over 25 years. While leading Multnomah Publishers for 14 years, Don worked with hundreds of authors and oversaw the production of over 1,000 book titles, including bestsellers such as The Prayer of Jabez, Redeeming Love, and I Kissed Dating Goodbye. Multnomah Publishers was also responsible for books from Dr. James Dobson, Henry Blackaby, Max Lucado, Andy Stanley, and Robin Jones Gunn, among others. He sold Multnomah Publishers to Random House in 2006, then founded D.C. Jacobson & Associates, an author management company, whose agency has helped authors such as Francis Chan, author of Crazy Love, and Tsh Oxenreider, known as the Simple Mom.
Don’s first book, When God Makes Lemonade, was released in April 2013 by Thomas Nelson. And, he is launching a new book called, It’s a God Thing.
Writers Connection was formed to encourage, inspire, network and validate writers in their calling to the literary arts.
